How the provably fair algorithm actually works

Every provably fair system is built around the same core idea: two numbers, combined, produce your result, and you can check both.

  1. Server seed — a random string the site generates before you open a case. You don’t see the raw seed yet, but the site shows you its hash (a scrambled, one-way version of it, usually SHA-256). Because a hash can’t be reverse-engineered, the site is locked into that seed without being able to prove it to you yet.
  2. Client seed — a random string generated on your end (your browser), sometimes combined with a value you can edit yourself.

  3. Paste the revealed server seed into the site’s own hash function (or a third-party SHA-256 tool) and confirm it matches the hash you were shown before the round.
